On The Area Teaching Committee's Fast Meeting: Visualizing community and seeing our neighbors

As the whole of humanity is one organism, however, the welfare of each individual depends not only on his own behavior, but on that of his neighbors. If one does wrong, all suffer in greater or less degree; while if one does well, all benefit. Each has to bear his neighbor’s burdens, to some extent, and the best of mankind are those who bear the biggest burdens.
The Area Teaching Committee, "the core team," met tonight to reflect on the consultation with the Counselor last weekend and to finalize plans for the next Reflection Meeting in May, but not before breaking the fast together with impromptu potluck fare. We tried to visualize our community in the future. We thought of the homes of Baha'is and the neighbors surrounding them.
