On Baha'i "Opinions": Passionate Statements about the Direction Humanity Must Move

Scene from the TV series "The Prisoner"

The Baha'i position towards partisan politics should not be interpreted to mean that the Baha'i Faith is without "opinions" and very specific recommendations for Baha'is and like-minded peoples to follow. Baha'is are vigorous advocates for change in the world community but avoid partisan divisiveness. Party politics is part of the problem facing the world despite whatever noble goals political parties may promote, as many people in all parts of the planet are concluding. Adversarial approaches to governance are anachronistic. Cooperative approaches are emerging as part of the new paradigm. To give an idea of the strong positions of the Faith on matters of social responsibility, I have listed below the links under the category "Social Action" on the Baha'i International Community's website, The Baha'is. -gw

The Bahá’í Faith is thoroughly concerned with the renewal and advancement of society. Bahá’u’lláh’s writings are directed towards effecting a transformation in the spiritual and material conditions of humankind. The links below have information about the Bahá’í Faith’s commitment to human rights, social and economic development, the status of women, and moral development and its involvement in such efforts.
