We weren't in the water long. It was too windy, even with the seeming protection of an enormous hillside between us and the prevailing wind. But being on the water we had the excitement of seeing some very big fish that had traversed many a fish-ladder to get by many a dam just to be able to spawn at the very moment right in front of us. -gw
