On Great Grey & Green & Black & White: Pacific Northwest wintertime colors

 
 
 
The colors of wintertime in the Pacific Northwest are gray (or grey) and green and black -- and white if we are lucky enough to experience a little snow cover. The Saturday we spent in the forest above the Skookumchuck River we saw plenty of grey and green. The Sunday we spent along the Carbon River just inside Mt Rainier National Park we experienced the full rainbow of Pac NW colors --- grey, green, black and white. Wow! A feast for the eyes. -gw
 
 

... the Sun seems to be going away, until at last the mantle of winter overspreads, and only faint traces of the effulgence of that divine Sun remain.
