On Overcoming the Discomfort When a Tune Gets Stuck in Your Head: A paradoxical approach

 
Tim is walking the equivalent of the distance around the world. Little by little, day by day. For fun and exercise. He says he has a desk job (he publishes the Guild of American Luthiers quarterly) and has to get out from time to time. Anyway, Tim knows a lot of tunes; has listened to a lot of music over the years. Tunes sometimes get stuck in his head during those hours of meditative walking. He uses a paradoxical approach in getting over the mild discomfort of tune stuckness. Here is a snippet of his explanation. -gw
