On Enhancing Attachment Between Parent and Child: God's guidance

Much of my professional work involves teaching skills to parents to enhance the attachment between child and parent. Parents learn to praise their child, reflect back what their child is saying, and put in words what they see their child is doing in "special play time." Child and parent come into attunement with each other. Parents learn to give good directions and are taught a discipline procedure that is simple and effective. Parents are coached in session. Kids learn to listen and experience praise for minding. Behaviors change and stories change. It's all very positive, and is a testament to what can be.

I see the focus taken in my work as having its basis in the guidance given to us by the Manifestations of God. Consequently, it warms my heart to see this set of two photos up on Dr Phil Squire's Flickr site. I see he draws from the same sustanence -gw
