On Whether a Faith Is of God: If it flies
The metaphor of flight applied to religion. -gw
The birds are the religions of the earth. There is a rule for testing whether a faith is of God: If it flies, God is beneath its wings. How does religion fly? It soars unto the summits of human knowing; it shatters the clouds of ignorance that obscure the center of the heart. And if it flies spiritually, it flies socially.
