I found The Book of Certitude on one of my software programs and read a quarter of it on a Saturday afternoon. I returned to it around midnight or so on Sunday morning and finished the remaining three quarters in about four hours. Needless to say, a whole slew of emotions overwhelmed me. I felt a strong spiritual presence that was better than drugs. At the same time, there was depression, anxiety, fear, excitement, strength and courage, cowardliness, etc, etc.
