On Finding Faith: Emaun's Blog for Religious Discussion

Emaun, previously profiled here, has a new blog called Finding Faith and Fighting Faith the first post of which has elicited 32 comments in a few short days . He concludes his inaugeral post with the following. -gw

Islam and Christianity have many good things to it, and my closest friends are religious people who follow them. I respect them for their effort to try to get closer to God. But I cannot follow these religions because of certain aspects that you are required to believe. Islam has many concepts that I agree with, but many others that I do not agree with. Christianity's problem is the main set up that if you do not believe in Jesus, you are damned to Eternal Hell, and I am not quite sure whether I even believe in a Hell or not! In a way, I believe that everyone, no matter what religion, or what beliefs they may have, that everyone is trying to get closer to the same exact God. One religion I have gained much respect for is the Baha'i Faith, for it's acceptance and tolerance for all religions.

So I hope I have been able to give better detail of my beliefs and my struggles with religion, and I continue to search each and every day for the truth.
