On Priorities: I Just Bought a Purse Today...It's Purple
Another Baha'i youth slice-of-life posting. Another posting about a purse. I love these...
sooo...I was offered a second job today... working as a desk clerk at a hotel... it sounds like it'd be pretty good... I'd get to use alot of the skills I learned at Louhelen... and I'd get to be working somewhere other than where I go to school... not to mention across town from my dad...
the hours are even such that it wouldn't interfere with my current job at all... just Saturdays and Sundays from 7 am to 3 pm... but therin lies the problem... my weekends would be completely gone, which I dont particularly mind... but loosing my Sundays means loosing Sunday school and Ruhi classes...and I don't think I'm willing to do that...
*sigh*...I could really use the money... but I feel like my priorities are getting really messed up... a little bit of extra money should never come before my spiritual life... and my Baha'i-filled Sundays are a huge part of what keeps me going during the week... oh, well... I'm going to let myself sleep on it... but I'm pretty sure I know what I'm going to do...
ANYWAY... I bought a purse today... its purple...

hmm...my purse looks nothing like that...its more of a lilac color... :-)

I totally understand where she is coming from. Sundays are a day that is set apart for me to go to church and learn from God's Word. I never took a job where they would have me work on Sunday where I would have to miss church. But when I stood firm on that conviction the right job always has always come along. Hopefully she will be able to work something out so she won't have to work on Sundays.
Oh, and I love anything that is the color purple! LOL! :)
