On the New World Order: God's Plan or a Conspiracy Against God?

Baha'is see two basic processes in operation in the world, all part of God's Great Plan, a falling apart of an old world order and the emergence of the new, of disintegration and integration. Out-moded institutions and ideologies are being cast off as unworkable. Human collaboration on an international scale is occuring at rapidly increasing pace. Out of the ashes of the old emerges the new. Baha'is see this phenomenon as evidence that this is the Day of God, the time of fulfillment of religious prophecies of the past. The operation of God's Plan is mysterious but it's not a magic show. We are all actor's on God's stage, whether we acknowledge it or not. God's hand is seen in world events and in the creation of new international organizations and institutions to address various problems of the world. Not everyone shares the Baha'i view, however. Here is an expression of one perspective that is in direct contrast to the positive view inherent in the Baha'i Writings.

The New Age New World Order is a political, economic, religious global conquest that has happened through conspiracy, often hidden subversion, in every area of society, in every country, including Australia. The N.W.O. is a merger of all political ideologies, religions and philosophies across the planet in ways that are impossible to have been planned by any group or individual alone. The N.W.O. is living proof of the Bible prophecies and teachings, because the N.W.O. is not only the prophetic Word coming true before our eyes, it is obviously an evil spiritual conquest. Many unbelievers have come to Christ because of the New Age New World Order, because it proves the existence of a supernatural world of wickedness, and fearful, godless people have run to the Saviour because of their eyes being opened by the amazing events happening through the N.W.O.

Some of the main organizations which are front-groups for the N.W.O. are:
The United Nations;
The World Federalists;
World Goodwill;
The Club of Rome;
The World Council of Churches;
Bilderbergers;
G.A.T.T;
N.A.T.O.;
N.A.F.T.A.;
World Bank;
Trilateral Commission;
World Peace Groups;
World Environment Groups;
Lucis Trust;
Baha'i;
The Quakers;
Freemasonry;
Parliament of World Religions;
National Government Leaders;
Liberal Protestant Denominations
The Vatican.
& Many, many more.

Wow, that is pretty heavy. I am not familiar with some of the organizations the author has mentioned. But I do know that in the book of Revelation in the Bible when it talks about a "one world government" it is a very negative thing and in the end God destroys it. Then Christ is made King. Revelation 19:19-21, Revelation 17:12-14, Revelation 19:11-16.

It is pretty sad that people can be afraid of peace loving groups including Baha'is and Quakers.

I was taught exactly what Annie posted above but I never understood why a one world government would be such a bad thing? Surely unity has to be seen in a postive way?

I saw a documentary on the National Geographic channel about the book of Revelations and how many historians believe it was discussing the political happenings in Rome. I have never fully read Revelations nor studied it so I shouldn't offer any opinion about its contents and what it prophesizes.

I wonder though, if Baha'is accept the Bible what exactly do they make of Revelations? There are quite a few bad things that are supposed to happen before Christ's return and if Baha'is believe Christ did return in 1844, then what about all the unfulfilled prophecies? Or do Baha'is believe that Revelations is allegorical and not literal?

Jess, may I offer the following book as a great explanation of the Baha'i point of view on the
Revelation of St. John.

This book traces the path of religious history from Abraham through Muhammad. It outlines significant events which lead up and culminate in the return of the Christ. I just did a search on Ocean (a software program that contains religious texts) and I searched the Baha'i religious texts for "Bible" and found this interesting information. I assume that if Jesus did not fulfill all of his literal prophecies before he came to be, then so would His return not literally fill all the prophecies, such as in the Revelations.

The obstacle which prevents the so-called religious man from accepting the teachings of God is literal interpretation. Moses announced the coming of Christ. The Israelites were awaiting him with the greatest impatience and anxiety, but when he came they called him Beelzebub. "The conditions laid down in the Bible for the coming of the expected one were not fulfilled," they said. They did not understand that the conditions were symbolical.

For instance, it is written -- "He will come from an unknown place." Jesus came from Nazareth. "How can this be the Messiah?" they reasoned. "It is written -- he will carry an iron scepter, that is to say, his shepherd's staff will be a sword. This man has no sword. It was prophesised -- he will be seated on the throne of David; behold this man has not so much as a mat whereon to sit. He was to spread the law 36 of Moses; this man, on the contrary, seeks to destroy it. How can he be the promulgator of God's law?" they scornfully laughed.

It was prophesised that the east and west would be united under the Jewish law; the animals would be at peace one with another; that the wolf would no longer devour the sheep. They did not see these conditions fulfilled. Roman tyranny enveloped the world and they crucified the Christ.

The Jews were blind to reality. The real Christ came from the city of light in the eternal realms Christ is a king. His shepherd's staff, that is, his tongue, was a sword dividing the true from the false. The throne of David is not a material throne but an eternal kingdom. Christ re-established this kingdom; it has been forgotten. Christ conquered the east and the west. This means a spiritual victory, not a material one.

Is love not the greatest force?

Wickedness can perpetuate only itself, and bring destruction.

In the spirit of love, faith, and co-operation, a whole new world can be born, from very little, by manifesting Gods' love of creation.

Opening up to the good, and the God within ourselves prepares us to do this work, whatever happens in this time of great troubles.
We must be a guide for our children; show them our love and faith and not succumb to hatred and fear.

There is a dual statement on our British passports that says:
'Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense' (broadly, 'evil to those who evil think') and 'Dieu Et Mon Droit' ('God and my right' which I feel is an acknowledgement of faith in and love of God, like 'In God I trust' not a right as a power as in 'Onward Christian Soldiers!)

I have found counsel and guidance in these statements; even to focus on evil, is to succumb to evil and forget my faith in, and love of what I hold to be God. To remain mindful of my faith and love, I hold the keys to a better world in my hands, and evil has lost it's hold. I may act spontaneously in God's love.

In these times when much evil is apparent, it is important that we are able to identify those who would harm us. Usually, this is not difficult...for their 'fruits' identify them clearly!, but the more we focus on our creative abilities resulting from our faith and love, the stronger we become, ever more able to deal with (and hopefully help) those unfortunates who have become lost.

I prefer to think of evil as folly, which we are all guilty of to some extent. In this way, we are all souls on the same path; mindful, I hope, to keep placing one foot in front of the other, in the right direction, and living testament to the benefits of our love and faith.

I believe that there is no love, save for God's love (which we may enjoy in ourselves and others);
and there is no advantage, save for God's advantage, that we may choose to serve, to the benefit of the greater good.

These are my feelings on the matter.
